WELCOME TO THE TRANSLATION PROGRAM OF
THE UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS BOSTON!
It will be our pleasure to work with you to explore the wonderful world of translation. You can review some course details in your welcome letter and orientation materials.
Our program consists of two semesters. There is a study period after the second semester, and the Certificate Exam is in June. For other important semester dates and deadlines, you can check the University Calendar here.
When invited, you can join our Google Classroom to access your course materials.
In the meantime, if you’d like to start preparing for the course, as a suggestion, you can read and write as much as possible, in both Spanish and English. Look for published, good quality translations. Translate the original, and then compare your translation with the published translation. See if you agree with the published translation, and if you can consider your own translation as a correct version.

The training platform is Google Classroom, which is an online learning environment with diverse and interesting multimedia resources, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
